We are pleased to announce our next Virtual Zoom Winetasting, co-hosted with the Vermont Italian Cultural Association, will be held on May 7th from 6:30-7:30 PM.
For this winetasting, we will be joined by WSET-certified instructor, Taylor Cameron (above, center), who will guide us through the structured, systematic approach to tasting wines developed by the Wines and Spirits Education Trust (WSET). This is the approach used by sommeliers, wine critics and wine afficionados worldwide and will expand both your enjoyment and understanding of wine, and your ability to discuss the wines you enjoy. In addition, Taylor will explore the interplay between food and wine, and how they can provide more enjoyment together than when they're consumed separately.
This month’s tasting will include a white, a rosé and a red: We’ll begin a Sicilian Grillo from Tasca d’Almerita, then proceed to a Sangiovese-based rosé from Villa di Geggiano in Tuscany, and finally, finish with an elegant Langhe Nebbiolo from Piedmont producer, Elvio Tintero.
This month we’re also offering three different package options, each of which includes three wines, food pairings and the winetasting Zoom link. Our customary package of three full bottles is, as always, available to you. For those who'd prefer not to open three bottles at once, we're offering six ounce tastings of each wine, which is enough for two. Finally, you can purchase the tasting package and the three bottles if you’d like to have unopened bottles to share with family or friends at a later date.
We hope you'll set aside May 7th and come join us for another exciting winetasting! To purchase your ticket, click here.
